Healy Hall – A Hidden Pulsing Evil (Threat)
Healy Hall

Created by: Kris
Description: Healy Hall is the historic flagship building at the main campus of Georgetown University. Constructed between 1877-79, it was designed by prominent architects Paul Johannes Pelz and John Smithmeyer shortly before they built the Library of Congress. The building was listed on DC Inventory of Historic Sites in 1964, on the National Register of Historic Places on May 25, 1971, and as a National Historic Landmark on December 23, 1987.
The Idea: On the mysterious 5th floor, a cultist armed with ancient Jesuit texts opened an unspeakable portal into hell. Only due to the valiant efforts of a congregation of local clergyman was the portal able to be contained. The 5th floor is warded from entry and guarded closely by the few who know of its existence. Strange sounds, flickering lights, moving objects, and fluctuating temperatures still scare numerous students each year.
Face: Father St. Clair – Priest maintaining the portals wards.

New South Hall – A Breeding Ground of Potential (Theme)

Description: New South Hall is a first-year student dorm. It opened in 1959, and its name is due to its placement as the southern most building on the main campus at the time of its completion. The building was renovated in 2004. The name reflects the oldest Georgetown building, which had been called “Old South,” and was located near New South’s location. The four floors are co-ed and contain roughly one-hundred students, and each double room in New South contains a sink. Each floor has two resident resident assistants and a Chaplain-in-Residence. The dormatory has a certain reputation, due in part to its long corridors, of being more social but also being prone to vandalism.
The Idea: New South is probably the best freshmen’s dorm on campus. With sinks in each spacious room and a killer location— Leo’s is a mere 100 feet away!—New South makes living on campus luxurious. The large floors and long halls amplify noise, making for interesting late nights as party-goers return to their rooms. Study space outside the bedroom is non-existent, but the social space is amazing; residents just seem friendlier, too (probably because of their awesome rooms!).
